Tottenham take on the visitors Arsenal in the round 35 match of English Premier League. The match will be played on Sunday, April 28th at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London).
Tottenham disappointed last season. Not as much as Chelsea, of course, but they also missed out on European competitions. Moreover, they lost Harry Kane in the summer transfer window. The money received for the captain went towards new recruits, who were supposed to help Postecoglou, the newly appointed manager, achieve the season's objectives. And the only task could have been a return to the top four, fighting for the right to play in the Champions League again in 2024. They managed to start strongly, pleasantly surprising the fans, but then their momentum waned. And in the end, in spring, the London giants were not only below the top three but also below the surprise package, Aston Villa. They defeated Aston Villa, albeit convincingly, but then only managed victories against modest Luton and Nottingham Forest, with draws against West Ham and defeats, notably against Fulham and Newcastle. It's not surprising that the ambitious team is still fifth.

Arsenal are decent, but they've experienced a decline again. The Gunners, on the one hand, confirmed the level they reached last season. They once again found themselves among the leaders of the Premier League, despite a noticeable increase in workload. On the other hand, what Mikel Arteta hasn't been able to do with his team is to prevent a decline in spring. Because of this, two years ago, they allowed Tottenham to snatch fourth place from them (and consequently, a spot in the Champions League). An unsuccessful run last spring, orchestrated by the then-sole leader, turned the title race into a farce – Manchester City became champions without a fight. This time everything seemed fine, but with a gap of a couple of days, Zinchenko and company suffered a 0-2 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League (hello from Unai Emery, who cost them the top spot), and then couldn't respond to Kimmich's goal in Munich, crashing out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals. However, after that, there were two good matches. They scored a couple of unanswered goals against Wolverhampton, and they thrashed Chelsea 5-0.
The Spurs won only 1 derby out of the last 6 with 4 losses. But if last season they lost both times, this time, with Postecoglou in charge, they managed to secure a draw away. The Gunners are considered favorites, but they will play against a strong and motivated (both in terms of the tournament and personally) opponent. Let's go for a neutral option with total goals over 3.0.
Prediction for the match: Over 3.0 scored goals.
