Torino take on the visitors Como in the round 12 match of Italian Serie A. The match will be played on Monday, November 24th at Stadio Olimpico di Torino (Turin).
"Torino" has not yet moved closer to its targets. The “Garnets” still remember their significant historical achievements, of course. But for a very long time now, they have been unable even to return to European competitions. Last season they failed to show improvement — on the contrary, they collected only 44 points and finished 11th, overtaking Udinese solely on tie-breakers. This year Torino brought in Marco Baroni, whose coaching résumé is rather inconsistent. The team started poorly, losing three times in Serie A by the end of September. But since last month, they have been on an unbeaten run, although they have managed only two victories — against Napoli and Genoa — alongside four draws, including three consecutive stalemates. Their most recent match, the derby against Juventus, ended 0-0. Despite the lack of wins, Torino’s defensive stability has noticeably improved during this stretch. At the same time, their overall tempo in matches has become more controlled, helping them avoid defeats even in difficult fixtures.

Como spent many years at a very modest level. But eventually the club managed to attract wealthy local investors. As a result, they earned promotion to Serie A in 2024 after a very long absence. They chose a specific approach at the time: signing high-profile but past-their-prime players while keeping the inexperienced Cesc as head coach. However, they still managed to collect 49 points and finish as high as 10th — more than most expected. Often, the second season in the top flight becomes much more difficult for a recent newcomer. But this time, they are actually improving. So far, the Spaniard’s team has lost only once — to Bologna back in late summer — and in the cup they have already eliminated two opponents, including Sassuolo. Draws, however, are numerous and prevent them from climbing into the European positions for now. Even so, Como have consistently shown strong character in tight games, rarely allowing opponents to take control. Their ability to maintain steady form across multiple competitions also highlights their growing maturity as a team.
Last season, after a twenty-year break in their encounters, the clubs exchanged 1-0 home victories. The visitors remain the stronger side — we expect them to claim another win.
Prediction for the match: Como to win.
