Marseille brought in De Zerbi just over a year ago, after he grew tired of limited ambitions in the Premier League. In September, though, they produced a resounding 4-0 victory over Lorient. After that came some very tough opponents. Their Champions League opener was against Real Madrid, where they had every chance of a draw, but the Spanish giants snatched victory with two penalties converted by Mbappé — both of which were controversial. Just days later, they shocked PSG in Paris with a 1-0 win. Marseille’s resilience and ability to recover quickly from setbacks is a good sign for their campaign. At the same time, their defense has looked more stable than in previous seasons, helping them grind out results.
Five of the last six meetings between these sides ended in draws (usually 1-1 or 2-2). The only exception came in September last year, when Strasbourg won 1-0 at home. Matches involving Racing have become a guarantee of entertainment. The bet here is on over 2.5 total goals.
