Sandefjord take on the visitors Bodo/Glimt in the round of 14 match of Norwegian Elitserien. The match will be played on Saturday, July 13th at Jotun Arena (Sandefjord).
Sandefjord are failing this season. The Guys are a relatively young project, with their only notable achievement being a single appearance in the cup final, but that was back in 2006, and they lost the decisive match. It seemed that the club had finally secured its place in the Eliteserien on its latest attempt – they've been in the top division for five consecutive years now, though they've never finished higher than tenth place, and in 2023 they were 13th. This season has seen an even greater fall: they have only 9 points and are in last place. Most of those points, 6, were earned in early May when they won two consecutive matches against Molde and Sarpsborg. Since then, they have had only 2 draws amidst a sea of defeats. However, they did manage a 1-1 draw with Bodø/Glimt away from home. They repeated this result on the field of Strømsgodset.

Bodø/Glimt have rapidly risen to become a significant force, not just nationally. They had to come out of their winter break as early as February to play in the Conference League playoffs, where they only lost to Ajax in extra time. Currently, they aim to distance themselves from their domestic pursuers to increase their chances of defending their championship title, which they regained in 2023 after a year's break. There was a slump, including the mentioned draw with Sandefjord during a period when they took only 2 points from 3 matches. But both before and after that slump, the champion was almost flawless. Only Molde managed to take a point from them, finishing 1-1 back in April. They have won all three summer matches since then, including a 5-1 thrashing of Brann.
Until the draw in May, the Yellow Horde had consistently come out victorious in their previous 5 encounters. The visitors are significantly stronger. We recommend betting on them to win with a -1.0 goals handicap.
Prediction for the match: Bodo/Glimt to win with -1.0 handicap.
