Luckily, they have managed to solidify their status as the sole leader in La Liga by this point. They also dealt with Mallorca, albeit minimally.

Barcelona have obviously lost ground in Spanish football this season. The Blaugrana finally managed to win trophies again in 2023 – first the Spanish Super Cup and then La Liga. They have also had setbacks in all Spanish competitions, including La Liga. Cadiz could have taken points as well, but Joao Felix scored against them.
A year ago, in April 2023, Real Madrid thrashed Barcelona 4-0 at the Camp Nou in the Copa del Rey semi-finals of the previous cycle. This season, Ancelotti's team won in La Liga (2-1 away) and in the Spanish Super Cup (4-1 in Saudi Arabia). The visitors don't seem ready to offer anything to their old rival. We expect a victory for the Galacticos.
