Nice take on the visitors PSG in the postponed round 32 match of French Ligue 1. The match will be played on Wednesday, April 15th at Allianz Riviera (Nice).
The first month of spring turned out to be very unsuccessful for Nice - the team suffered three defeats in the championship. But starting from April, the Eaglets haven't lost to anyone in Ligue 1. Away from home, Francesco Farioli's team settled for draws with Reims (0-0) and Marseille (2-2). At home, they triumphed over Lorient (3-0) and Le Havre (1-0), adding to these victories an away win against Strasbourg (3-1). As a result of this unbeaten streak, Nice returned to the battle for the bronze medal and a place in the Champions League zone. Yes, even the top 4 teams are four points ahead, which is a lot, considering there are only two rounds left. But now it's much easier for Nice to hold onto fifth place and at least secure a spot in the Europa League, rather than the Champions League.

PSG defended their championship title in France ahead of schedule, which was predictable and expected. However, the team failed to achieve their main goal of the season, once again stopping just short of the coveted Champions League final, losing twice to Borussia Dortmund with the same score of 0-1. Before facing the Germans, Luis Enrique's proteges failed to win at home against Le Havre in the league (a 3-3 draw), and after that, the Parisians also lost to Toulouse at home (1-3). Without motivation, and still demoralized by the failed end of the season, it's hard to find the strength and desire to play at full capacity. I don't think PSG will be able to overcome a motivated Nice away from home.
Nice are fighting for a spot in European competitions. PSG, on the other hand, no longer needs anything. Therefore, the odds from bookmakers don't bother me at all; most likely, the visitors will take the field with a reserve lineup. Although in the first round of this season, the Eaglets defeated the capital's main team (3-2), and that was away. So it's hardly surprising if the hosts at least don't lose to the reigning champions of the country in this round. My prediction is 1X.
Prediction for the match: Nice not to lose (1X).
