Elche take on the visitors Osasuna in the round 24 match of Spanish LaLiga. The match will be played on Friday, February 13th at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero (Elche).
Elche have declined recently. The Green and Whites have been stuck in the Segunda after another relegation. The arrival of Sarabia as head coach helped, as Eder took charge in the summer of 2024 and immediately secured promotion back to La Liga. Moreover, the team made a very respectable start in the top flight, going seven matches unbeaten. However, that run proved to be their longest, and it became clear that the newcomer was gradually slipping down the standings. In 2026, they managed no more than draws for a long stretch. In the latest rounds, they faced very tough opponents in Barcelona and Real Sociedad, and it is no surprise that they lost to both. After a couple of decent performances in the cup, they were also eliminated by Betis. Their recent league form shows a lack of cutting edge in attack, especially against organized defenses. At home, Elche have struggled to turn solid spells into victories, often conceding decisive goals late in matches.

Osasuna are not generally viewed as an ambitious project with huge potential. Rather, they are a classic coach-driven team that under Arrasate rose from the Segunda to qualify for European competitions. Arrasate left in 2024, but under his successor Moreno they achieved a solid result in 2024/2025 with 52 points and ninth place. However, Rayo Vallecano, who collected the same number of points, qualified for the Conference League instead. In Pamplona, there were hopes that the appointment of Lisci, lured from Mirandes, would provide fresh momentum. Yet in 2025 they were mostly fighting to avoid slipping into the relegation zone, and only in winter did both performances and results noticeably improve. In the cup, they were painfully eliminated on penalties by Real Sociedad. After that, though, they produced several strong matches in La Liga. Their winning streak was halted by Villarreal, but a 2–2 draw there can hardly be called a failure. They then managed to defeat Celta. Recent results suggest Osasuna have become more confident going forward and more resilient under pressure. Away from home, they have started collecting points more consistently, which strengthens their position in tight contests.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last ten meetings with this opponent. However, they have won only three of those matches. Even in September, they were held to a home draw by the newcomer. The visitors look stronger — we back them to take the win here, but with a draw no bet handicap for safety.
Prediction for the match: Osasuna to win with 0.0 handicap.
