Eintracht Frankfurt take on the visitors Wolfsburg in the round 12 match of German Bundesliga. The match will be played on Sunday, November 30th at Deutsche Bank Park (Frankfurt).
Eintracht Frankfurt are trying to maintain their level, but not everything is going smoothly. The Eagles managed to squeeze out the maximum last season — they sold key players for high fees (Marmoush in January and Ékitiké in the summer) while still finishing in third place, trailing only Bayern and Borussia Dortmund. This season, newcomers Burkardt and Doan have started well, and Can Uzun is showing steady progress. However, the overall results are noticeably worse than in 2024/2025. The workload of competing in the Champions League is taking its toll, and they are struggling there despite opening with a 5–1 home win against Galatasaray. Against Atalanta they were completely outplayed and suffered a heavy 0–3 defeat. Domestically, they were eliminated from the cup by Dortmund on penalties, and in the Bundesliga they drop points in almost every second match. Even against Köln they conceded three times, though they still managed to win 4–3. Recently Eintracht have shown inconsistency in both tempo control and defensive organisation, making it difficult for them to build long winning streaks. Their home performances remain strong, but away fixtures continue to expose their vulnerabilities.

Wolfsburg are backed by a major automotive conglomerate, which provides consistent financial support and ambition. But while those ambitions were once matched by results, recent years have clearly been below expectations. In 2024/2025 they collected just 43 points, finishing 11th only thanks to tiebreakers. Over the summer, they appointed Simonis to rebuild the side, but the Dutchman disappointed after only a couple of months and was dismissed during the November international break. The decision was understandable: under him Wolfsburg managed just two wins and two draws in ten Bundesliga matches, and were knocked out of the cup by modest Holstein Kiel. In the last league round, they struggled again and fell 1–3 to Bayer. Wolfsburg’s main issue has been the lack of consistency in key phases of matches, often losing control after conceding first. Their inability to convert possession into meaningful chances has also contributed to their slide down the table.
Wolfsburg had a six-match unbeaten run in this fixture. But last season they collected only one point from the two meetings. The visitors look toothless, and against such an opponent — especially at home — Eintracht should only be thinking about victory. We believe the Eagles will win here.
Prediction for the match: Eintracht to win.
