Tottenham continue to look highly inconsistent once again. Last season, under Postecoglou, Spurs won the Europa League. However, even that long-awaited trophy did not save him, as the club simultaneously collapsed to 17th place in the Premier League with just 38 points. As a result, in the summer they lured Frank from Brentford to take over as head coach. Under him, the team have looked convincing mainly in European competitions. Domestically, however, the picture is far less impressive. Tottenham were knocked out of the League Cup early and have alternated wins and defeats in the Premier League, effectively repeating their points-per-game pace from 2024/2025. The latest setback came against Liverpool, a 1–2 defeat that was further complicated by disciplinary issues. Overall, Tottenham struggle to maintain consistency from match to match. Their away performances, in particular, continue to raise questions about reliability.
Spurs had previously recorded five consecutive wins in this matchup. However, both meetings last season ended in victories for the Eagles. Overall, it is quite reasonable that the home side are considered favorites here. Still, given that both teams have shown defensive issues recently, the safer option looks to be a neutral bet on “total over 2.5 goals.”
