Liverpool spent heavily to stay on top. The "Reds" achieved plenty under Jürgen Klopp, and his departure was met with widespread concern. Liverpool remain unbeaten in the league and boast the division’s highest scoring tally so far. Still, defensive lapses have been evident, with only two clean sheets in their last eight matches.
The Reds have won two of the last seven meetings, with just one defeat in that run. And this summer, after a draw, Palace prevailed on penalties in the Community Shield. The champions have mastered the art of grinding out "ugly" wins, where questions linger but the three points are secured. Expect another narrow success for the visitors in London.
