Como vs AC Milan Prediction 15 January 2026

Como take on the visitors AC Milan in the postponed round 16 match of Italian Serie A. The match will be played on Thursday, January 15th at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia (Como).

Como are playing excellent football. The Lake Club have made rapid progress since the current owners entered the project. After the long-awaited promotion to Serie A, the chosen approach initially seemed clearly wrong, as the club trusted an inexperienced head coach and mostly signed players who were past their peak. However, in the end, Como managed to finish 10th with 49 points in their debut season among the elite. In the new campaign, there was only one real setback for a long time. In December, they did lose consecutively to Inter and Roma, but afterward, against less demanding opponents, they returned to winning ways, beating not only Lecce but also Udinese and Pisa. Only Bologna managed to at least hold them to a draw, stopping an unexpected contender for European qualification. Overall, Como’s recent form looks very convincing, with a clear upward trend in results. At home, they have been especially solid, regularly turning good performances into points.

Milan lifted the Super Cup trophy last season. Still, that campaign was largely disappointing, as both Paulo Fonseca, who started 2024/2025 as head coach, and later Sergio Conceicao failed to deliver consistent success. Milan were knocked out of the Champions League early and then lost the domestic cup final while dropping to eighth place in Serie A. The current coach, Allegri, has already suffered his own setback, losing 0-2 to Napoli in the Super Cup. Earlier, they were also beaten 0-1 by Lazio in the cup. This, however, has shifted the focus entirely to Serie A, where Milan are involved in the fight near the top. Ironically, after returning to San Siro, Massimiliano began with a defeat against modest Cremonese, but that remained the only slip in the league. Still, draws against Genoa and Fiorentina, both ending 1-1, did little to boost their chances of regaining the lead. Despite the recent draws, Milan remain competitive and rarely lose points in consecutive matches. Their overall form suggests stability, even if converting control into victories has recently been an issue.

All four official matches against their neighbors were won by the Rossoneri. The teams are considered quite evenly matched. The bet is on total goals under 2.5 in this important derby clash.

Prediction for the match: Under 2.5 scored goals.
