After the break, they responded with a dominant 7–0 win over Port Vale FC in the cup. In the latest round, however, they produced nothing against Manchester City, suffering a heavy 0–4 defeat.

Manchester United will try to finish the season on a positive note. “The Red Devils” changed managers during the 2024/2025 campaign, but Rúben Amorim failed to improve things in the Premier League, where the club finished 15th with 42 points. However, in March they lost to Newcastle United, and against AFC Bournemouth they came back from 0–2. On Monday, though, they unexpectedly lost 1–2 at home to Leeds United.
