Buducnost take on the visitors Noah in the second leg of UEFA Champions League Qualification round of 1/8-finals. First leg result: 0-1. The match will be played on Tuesday, July 15th at Podgorica City Stadium (Podgorica).
Buducnost are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. During the Yugoslav era, they remained mostly in the shadows, occasionally making noise — their peak came in the form of a couple of cup final appearances in the 1960s and 70s. Only after Montenegro gained independence did Buducnost truly rise to prominence as a domestic powerhouse. Since 2008, they have won the national title seven times, including reclaiming the championship this past spring after a one-year gap. However, unlike in 2024, they failed to make a deep cup run this time. The club enters a new cycle under recently appointed head coach Nenad Lalatovic, a former Shakhtar player and now an experienced manager. His debut in charge came in Armenia last week, where his side suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat. Buducnost looked organized in spells but lacked sharpness in the final third.

Noah are aiming to solidify their status as Armenia's top force. The Black and Whites were founded in 2017 as FC Artsakh and swiftly climbed the Armenian football pyramid. Their first top-flight campaign ended in 8th place, but after a change in ownership and rebranding, the club quickly made progress. They won their first trophy in the national cup, and last season, they made a huge leap forward by qualifying for the group stage of the Conference League. Remarkably, even with the added European schedule, Noah went on to complete a domestic double — league and cup. Despite the success, the club decided to change managers and appointed Sandro Petkovic. His first official match in charge was the European clash against Buducnost last Tuesday. Petkovic’s side showed discipline and efficiency, with Aoulad’s goal proving decisive in a tight contest.
Noah are relatively new to European football, having played only a handful of ties. Their first-ever meeting with Buducnost came in the opening leg of this tie last week. The Armenian side remains the favorite overall. But a draw would be enough for them, and with Buducnost’s experience and home support, the hosts are unlikely to lose — back them to avoid defeat.
Prediction for the match: Buducnost not to lose (1X).
