Bodo/Glimt take on the visitors Odd in the round 15 match of Norwegian Eliteserien. The match will be played on Friday, July 19th at Aspmyra Stadion (Bodø).
Bodo/Glimt has recently returned to a high level. They have already shown that they are strong and ambitious not only by national standards. In February, they concluded a European campaign with a hard-fought loss to Ajax in the Conference League. But on Tuesday, they will start their Champions League qualification. Undoubtedly, this is a priority for Knutsen and his players, and they could have fielded a reserve squad on Friday. However, in the last round, the titleholders already stumbled by losing to Sandefjord. No one would understand a second consecutive loss of points, even if the slip isn't critical from a tournament perspective: they still hold the lead over their pursuers.

Odd has sunk to the bottom of the table. Oddrane holds the record for the number of cups won and has been national champions. However, they took gold both times in the middle of the last century. Their last cup success was in 2000. After reaching bronze a couple of times in the last decade, they faced relegation threats in 2021, finishing 13th. They then improved significantly to close out the top 5, but last year they slipped to 10th place. Now, they find themselves in the relegation zone. Even though this is temporary, as several teams have the same 14 points, their recent form is troubling. After securing only their third win in May, they drew twice and then lost to both Rosenborg and HamKam.
The last three matches have all resulted in victories for the Yellows: 7-0 and twice 2-0 last season. It’s hard to see what could change the balance in this pairing. We bet that the clearly stronger club will win at home with a handicap of -2.0 goals.
Prediction for the match: Bodo/Glimt to win with -2.0 handicap.
