Barcelona take on the visitors Levante in the round 25 match of Spanish LaLiga. The match will be played on Sunday, February 22nd at Camp Nou (Barcelona).
Barcelona are determined to repeat and surpass last season’s results. The Blaugrana reacted to a trophyless 2023/2024 campaign by replacing club legend Xavi with Flick. Under Hansi, they collected the full set of domestic trophies and fell short only against Inter, when many expected his young side to reach the Champions League final. This season they have already repeated their Super Cup success, beating Athletic and, most importantly, Real. In the Champions League, Barcelona delivered one of the strongest campaigns and secured a later entry into the play-offs. They are also through to the Copa del Rey semi-finals, although the first leg against Atletico ended in a shocking 0–4 defeat. After that setback, they also lost momentum in La Liga, suffering a passive defeat to Girona and dropping to second place. Even so, their overall form remains solid, and home performances have generally been convincing. Recent results suggest the team is still capable of responding strongly after setbacks.

Levante have experience in La Liga and even enjoyed European football in the past, where they looked respectable. However, after relegation in 2022, they spent two seasons in the Segunda before finally earning promotion last year. Their return to the top flight has been extremely difficult, with constant managerial changes leaving the newcomers stuck at the bottom of the table for a long time. A slight upturn came from late December, when they lost only to Real and even managed wins over Sevilla and Elche, though they still remained in the relegation zone. That progress did not last long, as they then suffered heavy defeats, including 2–4 against a struggling Athletic. Subsequent matches against Valencia and Villarreal also ended without points. Overall, their recent form suggests defensive issues and a lack of consistency away from home.
There is very little intrigue in this pairing: in the last six meetings, the Frogs managed only one draw against the “More Than a Club.” In these circumstances, the Blaugrana are expected to secure a confident, high-margin win. The bet is on a Barcelona victory with a -2.5 goals handicap.
Prediction for the match: Barcelona to win with -2.5 handicap.
