Eintracht Frankfurt made excellent money from player sales, especially Marmoush and Ekitike. And although even after selling the Egyptian in January they managed to maintain momentum and finish third in the previous Bundesliga campaign, their chances of repeating that now are decreasing, with points being dropped in almost half of their matches. Eintracht’s recent form shows a clear decline, as early confidence gave way to a series of inconsistent and error-prone performances. Their results indicate that while the team can be dangerous in isolated matches, maintaining rhythm across competitions has been a major challenge.
The clubs met in April 2022 in the Europa League. And the Germans, after drawing at home, sensationally won at Camp Nou. For now, Barcelona look likely to take revenge — the bet is on their victory with a –2 goal handicap.
