Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest Prediction 13 September 2025

Arsenal take on the visitors Nottingham Forest in the round 4 match of English Premier League. The match will be played on Saturday, September 13th at Emirates Stadium (London).

Arsenal FC are fully focused on achieving success this season. “The Gunners” have made steady progress under Mikel Arteta. However, their only trophies so far came early in his tenure and in cup competitions. They have since finished as runners-up in the Premier League three times — first behind Manchester City and then just short of Liverpool FC. Clearly aiming for more, they invested heavily this summer, signing Martín Zubimendi, Mathias Jensen (Nørgaard), Noni Madueke, Yerson Mosquera, Eberechi Eze, Piero Hincapié and, most notably, Viktor Gyökeres. They opened the new league campaign with wins — 1–0 away at Manchester United and 5–0 at home against Leeds United — but then lost Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard to injuries. Perhaps that absence cost them against title holders Liverpool, where they fell 0–1 to a superb late free kick from Dominik Szoboszlai. Even with key players sidelined, Arsenal’s attacking depth remains impressive, and their defensive shape has looked solid. Arteta will expect his side to quickly regain momentum and keep pace in the title race.

Nottingham Forest appointed Nuno Espírito Santo in the season before last, and he successfully kept them up despite a points deduction for financial fair play breaches. They made a surprising surge in 2024/25, spending much of the campaign in the top three before fading late to finish seventh — just one point behind Newcastle United. That was still enough for a UEFA Europa League spot, but Nuno admitted his relationship with the board had soured, and media speculated on his dismissal. The new season has been shaky: after beating Brentford FC, they drew with Crystal Palace, then suffered a heavy 0–3 defeat to West Ham United. Despite this, the board backed him with late signings — including Oleksandr Zinchenko — but this week they replaced him with Ange Postecoglou. Forest’s form has dipped alarmingly, and they have looked disorganized defensively. Postecoglou faces an immediate challenge to steady the team and restore confidence.

Arsenal had won three straight meetings, but in February they were held to a goalless draw in Nottingham. The Gunners are clearly stronger and should secure a convincing win here. Back them to win with a -1 goal handicap.

Prediction for the match: Arsenal to win with -1.0 handicap.
