Mallorca find the right manager again. The "Bermellones" shed their "yo-yo club" reputation after appointing Javier Aguirre in 2022. Though relegation seemed inevitable, Aguirre transformed the team, collecting enough points to secure survival. In 2022/2023, they climbed into the upper half of the table, though they eventually dropped back down but made it to the Copa del Rey final, narrowly losing on penalties. After Aguirre returned to coach Mexico, his replacement, Arrasate, who built a strong reputation with Osasuna, debuted with a draw against Real Madrid and has picked up a series of wins this autumn.
