AC Milan take on the visitors Bologna in the final match of Coppa Italia. The match will be played on Wednesday, April 14th at Stadio Olimpico (Rome).
Milan had restored their status as a genuine powerhouse under former coach Stefano Pioli. He even delivered a Scudetto, but apparently wore out his welcome with the board and was replaced last year despite finishing as runners-up. His successor, Paulo Fonseca, lasted just half a season, facing constant — and deserved — criticism, before Milan entered 2025 under new manager Sérgio Conceição. He started off with a Supercoppa win, but then came an early Champions League exit in February, losing to Feyenoord, a team far from Europe’s elite. Domestically, there hasn’t been a dramatic turnaround either. In the previous round, however, Milan earned another convincing win — this time 3-1 over Bologna. On top of that, they also eliminated Inter in the cup semi-final in impressive fashion: a 1-1 draw followed by a 3-0 victory.

Bologna somehow continue to hold their ground. The Rossoblù were Italy’s surprise package last season, making an unexpected push from mid-table mediocrity to fifth place. That finish turned out to be even more valuable as, in 2024, it granted them a Champions League spot. However, they entered Europe without the architect of their breakthrough, Thiago Motta, and key players like Zirkzee and Calafiori also left — they only began to show promise again during the winter, by which point it was too late. On the domestic front, Bologna have remained in the thick of the fight for another Champions League spot, albeit in a tightly contested race. In the previous matchday, they visited San Siro and suffered a deserved 1-3 defeat. Still, they made a solid run in the cup, reaching the semi-final thanks to a favorable draw.
Since 2009, Milan have lost to this opponent just once. That defeat came earlier this season, in February, when Bologna won 2-1 at home. There’s little reason to expect a shift in the trend. Back the Rossoneri to win this one with a 0 handicap (draw no bet).
Prediction for the match: AC Milan to win with 0.0 handicap.
