AC Milan vs AS Roma Prediction 2 November 2025

AC Milan take on the visitors AS Roma in the round 10 match of Italian Serie A. The match will be played on Sunday, November 2nd at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) (Milan).

Milan once won the Scudetto under Massimiliano Allegri, and since then, only Pioli managed to repeat that success. However, by 2024 their collaboration had clearly run its course — at least according to the club’s leadership, which replaced him with Paulo Fonseca before the start of the previous season. By New Year, Fonseca was dismissed and replaced by fellow Portuguese Sérgio Conceição, who immediately won the Supercoppa, beating Juventus and Inter. Yet things quickly fell apart again: an early Champions League exit, mediocre Serie A results, and a defeat in the Coppa Italia final. After such a season, Milan brought Allegri back last summer — only to lose 1-2 at home to Cremonese in his first match. Since then, they have been solid, dropping points only against Napoli (after missing a penalty) and rising to the top of the table. However, draws with Pisa and Atalanta cost them their leading position. Milan have been strong defensively and disciplined in transitions, but their attacking output has been inconsistent. They remain among the main Scudetto contenders, yet still need to prove they can dominate in crucial fixtures.

Roma are trying to finally step up. The Giallorossi, despite their proud history, have long struggled to live up to their reputation. Under Mourinho, they at least claimed the Europa Conference League title, but even he couldn’t bring them back to the Champions League — nor could his successors. Last season under Ranieri, they came close, finishing just one point behind Juventus in the race for fourth. It’s worth remembering, though, that Claudio took over amid a prolonged crisis. As announced, he retired last summer and was replaced by Gasperini, who joined from Atalanta to rebuild Roma’s system. In the Europa League, the Romans won once but suffered two defeats, while in Serie A their performances have been more convincing, despite occasional setbacks. Beating Sassuolo and Parma recently helped them close the gap to the league leaders. Roma are showing more stability in attack and better organization overall, though their defense still struggles under pressure. Gasperini’s side looks increasingly competitive, and momentum seems to be on their side.

Roma have won three of the last five meetings with the Rossoneri, losing only once — in the Coppa Italia. The hosts are favorites, but the visitors shouldn’t be underestimated. The value lies in backing Roma with a double chance (X2) — the Giallorossi may well avoid defeat.

Prediction for the match: AS Roma not to lose (X2).
