In 2014, Zwolle achieved their only trophy in history, winning the national Cup (and then the Super Cup). Moreover, the team played in the final a year later, but it ended unsuccessfully. But if we talk about the results in the championships, they are much more modest. Willem II looked quite good only in separate segments in their considerable history, namely, at the beginning and in the middle of the last century. Of the recent successes, one can remember only the cup final in 2019, but it was unsuccessful. And having lost to Waalwijk in the cup, the Tricolors began a streak of defeats, which has already reached eight matches in a row. During that period, Willem II conceded four and even five goals in some games. The pause should definitely benefit, but did Fred Grim and his staff manage to come up with anything?
Zwolle gained only one victory in the last eight head-to-head matches. It happened in Tilburg a year ago, in January 2021. Willem II won five times, including in the August game of this championship.
