Young Boyz take on the visitors Grasshopper at the Stade de Suisse in the 1st tour of Swiss Super League. The match will be played in Bern on Sunday, July 22th.
Young Boys have done almost no changes to their squad this summer. The most significant loss for them was Marco Burki who played only 4 matches last season. There are almost no new players in the team also because the ones who they have bought this summer are more of longtime projects than instant core members. So the team is basically the same balanced stable team we saw last season. The one significant change this summer has been the loss of their head coach Adi Hutter who moved to Eintracht. He`s been replaced with 39 years old specialist Gerardo Seoane who previously worked in Luzern and had 17 matches overall as a head coach. Despite this little experience Seoane was able to place 3rd with Luzern in the league last season.

Grasshopper on the other hand has had a lot of reshuffles this summer. This was definitely coming because the team finished last season on the 9th place. Grasshopers lost their defenders Vilotic, Bergstrom, Sainsbury and their strikers Avdijaj and Kodro. Instead of those players Grasshopper loaned Tarashaj and signed Holzhauser who will reinforce the offensive line but no defenders were signed at all. Also it`s worth noting that the right backs of the team Lavanchy and Arigoni are injured now and will not be able to help the team in the upcoming match.
There no positive signs for Grasshopper at all for this upcoming match. They have to deal with arguably the best offensive line of last season in Swiss Super League who will be playing in front of their home crowd so there are almost no chance for the away side.
Prediction for the match: Young Boys to win.
