Wolverhampton take on the visitors Brighton in the round 15 match of English Premier League. The match will be played on Saturday, November 5th at Molineux Stadium (Wolverhampton).
Wolverhampton Wanderers are having a tough season. The Wolves recently returned to the Premier League. But they were already able to prove themselves worthily: they made their way to the Europa League (and went through to the playoffs there), were a thunderstorm of authorities, and, most importantly, they were remembered for their “Portuguese” accent. After the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo, Bruno Lage worked here, and showed himself well in the last championship. But the new one had problems, and yet the decision to fire him looked hasty. Moreover, they did not agree with the successor, so the agreement with Lopetegui fell through. So far, they trust Steve Davis, but frankly, he doesn’t do much. Yes, after 3 defeats in a row it came out to win - 1-0 against Nottingham Forest. But this was followed by defeats to both Crystal Palace and Leicester, and only with Brentford managed to achieve a 1-1 draw. But this did not help to leave the penultimate place.

Brighton also changed mentor, but for a different reason. The Seagulls have ambitions - Tony Bloom wants to see his offspring in European competition. Even after selling some of the top players this summer (Bissum, Maupay, Cucurella), it still got off to a strong start... But that impressed Chelsea, and when Tuchel was sacked, Graham Potter was invited to take his place. He was replaced by Roberto De Zerbi and the ex-coach of Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk started with a spectacular away draw against Liverpool. But the enthusiasm quickly subsided: then there were defeats not only to Tottenham and Manchester City, but also to Brentford, and a goalless draw came out with the modest Nottingham Forest. All the more unexpected was the fact that in the last round Albion managed not only to win, but to defeat Chelsea. However, the “aristocrats” were clearly crippled by the fact that in the 1st half Loftus-Cheek and Chaloba scored an own goal each!
Wolverhampton had 4 draws in a row, and then even 2 wins in head-to-head. But in April, Brighton managed to win a resounding 3-0 win at Molineux as well. Wolverhampton is frankly unimpressive, and Brighton must use this. They are unlikely to repeat the result with Chelsea, but they should win.
Prediction for the match: Brighton to win.
