Verona headed by Ivan Juric collected a lot of positive feedback about its results, and it was unconditionally deserved. The team got rid of the reputation of football lift. Spezia looks good for a debutant. The Eaglets were able to make some noise in the cup too - they beat Bologna and Roma and scored twice against Napoli at San Paolo. And most importantly, Vincenzo Italiano's charges were quite active in gaining points in their first-ever Serie A. Home matches were especially successful, as Spezia won six times. The Eaglets managed to stop even Inter, tying with it on April 21 (1-1). But their inaptitude to play at foreign stadiums lets them down. Even when Spezia plays not against the ambitious leaders who are fighting for a place in the top four and a ticket to the Champions League. In the 2nd half of April, the debutants of the division lost 1-4 to Bologna and 0- 2 to Genoa. And these are middle peasants without any special tournament tasks. Meanwhile, competitors are replenishing their piggy banks, and now there are only two points to the relegation zone.
In the last eight head-to-head matches, Spezia gained one victory and one draw. Verona won the rest of the games, including the last three. In January, the clubs played in Serie A for the first time, and Zaccagni's only goal in the 75th minute brought three points for the Mastiffs.
