Ufa take on the visitors Domzale at the Neftyanik Stadium in the first leg match of UEFA Europa League second qualification round. The match will be played in the eponymous city Ufa on Thursday, July 26th.
This season Ufa will be somewhat of a pioneer among the other Russian clubs on the European scene. But this is hardly the best time for them to debut in the Eurocups. Their head coach Sergei Semak has gone to Saint Petersburg recently to work in Zenit and has been replaced with a less known coach Sergei Tomarov who was training Ufa U-21 previous season. However, all of the important players for Ufa stayed in the team including the keeper Aleksandr Belenov. The Townspeople have had tough friendly matches this off-season. They played against last season`s breakthrough team Salzburg, against Udinese and some teams from the Turkish Super Lig. Even though the team lost almost in every friendly match they scored some goals in every of those games. So the upcoming fixture against Domzale could be an easy one for the Russians.

Domzale is a middle team in Slovenian PrvaLiga. They often get to the Eurocups but they have never been able to get the gold in their local league. The team has lost every friendly match this summer. However, they were victorious in the first qualification round of Europa League against Siroki Brijeg because of the away goal rule (2-2, 1-1). It felt like even facing the middle team from Bosnia was a hard task for the Yellows. They conceded a lot of goals in those two matches. It`s worth noting that Siroki Brijeg had 5 shots overall for those two matches and 3 of them came to be goals so the keeper of the Slovenian team was not that good.
