TPS take on the visitors KuPS at “Veritas Stadion” in the next matchday of the Finnish Veikkausliiga. The game will be played in Turku on Friday, June 1st.
TPS have returned to the Veikkausliiga after four-year break, however, the start of this season is not very successful for the side as it has got six defeats, three draws and single triumph over Inter Turku in 10 opening rounds. As a result, a new-comer occupies the last place in the elite division standings, being two points behind the safe 10th position. The hosts’ weak spot is their defense as it has conceded 15 goals already. Still, the home ground doesn’t help the team either, moreover, the club has failed to score a single goal in five encounters conducted in front of its supporters. And in general the TPS’ effectiveness in attack leaves much to be desired.

On the contrary, KuPS have entered this season successfully. The side won six out of 12 tackles conducted which enables it to settle on the third place in the Veikkausliiga table, being eight points behind the leading HJK and just one point behind Rovaniemi. “Kanarialinnut” leave favourable impressions with their football at the start of the season with the exception of their recent defeat from PS Kemi. KuPS are considered to be the favourites of the forthcoming tackle as they won two out of three recent head-to-heads against TPS while one more tackle was finished in a draw. Besides, the upcoming visitors have the most expensive squad while the capital club couldn’t adapt to the elite division requirements, thus, the more experienced is likely to gain another away victory.
