The Kosovo national team started this qualification later than its opponents. But they failed the first meeting in the qualifiers, losing 0-3 to the Swedish national team in Pristina. The visitors effectively neutralized the attacking efforts of Kosovo. The home team failed to shoot on target, and the Swedes surpassed their opponents in the overall number of shots almost twice (20-9).
