Spain hosts Kosovo in round 3 of the World Cup Qualification. The match will be played on Wednesday, March 31st at Estadio Olímpico (Sevilla)
Luis Enrique's team is second in the group standings (four points scored after two matches). The Red Fury is two points behind the leaders of Group B, the Swedish national team. So far, the Spanish footballers do not look like a team that has the status of the main favorite of the group. In the starting round, Enrique's team lost points in a home match against the Greeks (1-1), and last Sunday the Spaniards miraculously earned three points in the away game with Georgia (2-1). The match in Tbilisi did not start according to the scenario of the Red Fury. The hosts opened the scoring before the break with the efforts of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. In the second half, Ferran Torres equalized the score, but the Spaniards could not score the second goal for a long time. It happened in added time, when the Georgian goalkeeper David Loria made a mistake and failed to cope with a long-range shot by Dani Olmo.

The Kosovo national team started this qualification later than its opponents. While the competitors in the group fought in head-to-head games, the Balkans held a successful friendly match against the Lithuanians (4-0). But they failed the first meeting in the qualifiers, losing 0-3 to the Swedish national team in Pristina. The Scandinavians scored an early goal thanks to Ludwig Augustinsson, who upset the Kosovan goalkeeper after an assist from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. And shortly before the break, Alexander Isak doubled the lead. And the Swedes brought the score to a big one in the second half - Sebastian Larsson converted a penalty. The visitors effectively neutralized the attacking efforts of Kosovo. The home team failed to shoot on target, and the Swedes surpassed their opponents in the overall number of shots almost twice (20-9).
Football players from Spain and Kosovo will meet on the pitch for the first time. And the Red Fury is the favorite of this meeting. The Spaniards are very good in official home matches (eight wins and one draw in the last nine games), and the Kosovans cannot boast of good results away (two draws and four losses in six cases). In the two starting matches of the qualification, Luis Enrique's footballers have shown that they have problems in attack and defense. Despite the failure in the game with the Swedes, the Kosovars are capable of causing problems for the Spaniards and at least score a goal. The bet on the exchange of goals scored has been recorded in seven of Kosovo's eight official away games and four of five matches involving the Spaniards.
Prediction for the match: Both teams to score - yes
