Sassuolo take on the visitors Milan at the Mapei Stadium-Citta del Tricolore in the 7th tour of the Serie A TIM. The match will be played in Reggio Emilia on Sunday, September 30th.
Sassuolo have been surprising so far this season. Even though they had always been considered just a tough middle team and had been rarely able to give some problems to the top Italian teams nobody expected them to play so cool in the new Serie A TIM season. In the lead-up to their upcoming fixtureI Neroverdi have a pretty big chance of succeeding. In the first tour of the season already Sassuolo were able to beat Inter. After that victory the Italian football community thought that the team of Roberto De Zerbi could surprise many with time. In the second tour though the team drew against Cagliari and everybody disbelieved in them. Finally, after that draw I Neroverdi started to show incredible performances one by one. They have scored more goals than any other Italian team like Juventus, Napoli, Lazio for example so far this season. Surely, it will be hard for them to get the ball under their control in the upcoming fixture against Milan but the key to their potential success will be their counterattacks. However, they could make some faults in the defense playing that way. In their last three matches Sassuolo beat SPAL with a 2-0 score, Empoli with a 3-1 score and lost to Juventus with a 1-2 score. In the 1/32-finals fixture of the Coppa Italia they beat Ternana with a 5-1 score.

Milan have been looking very unstable recently. The team is on the fourteenth place in the Serie A TIM at the moment with six points to their credit after six tours. This result is quite surprising because I Rossoneri enhanced their squad a lot last summer. It is likely that they will put all of their effort into succeeding against Sassuolo on Sunday. After Milan had volitionally beaten Roma in the second tour everybody started to take them seriously. But then they drew three league matches in a row even though their opponents were not that strong (Cagliari, Empoli and Atalanta). The only positive thing about the team of Gennaro Gattuso has been their offensive line who have scored in every Serie A TIM fixture this season. The problem though has been their defensive line who have conceded at least one in every Serie A TIM fixture on the other hand. In their last three matches Milan drew against Empoli with a 1-1 score, against Atalanta with a 2-2 score and beat Dudelange with a 1-0 score in their Europa League group stage fixture. Il Diavolo have also had a friendly match recently where they have beaten Pro Piacenza with a 1-0 score.
Both Sassuolo and Milan often show great offensive performances but fail in the defense. It is likely that the away side will control the ball and the hosting side will use their counterattacks in the upcoming fixture. The match will probably be very interesting and both of the teams will score.
Prediction for the match: Both teams to score.
