Regar is a tough middle peasant of the Higher League of Tajikistan - last season today's hosts became the third team in the standings, in the year before last - the fourth. The start of the current championship was quite difficult for TadAZ - the team managed to earn only one point in the first two rounds, but matches against Kuktosh and Faizkand, who started the championship quite well, can explain such an unsuccessful initial spurt. Now Regar has every chance to get the first victory – it has to play against Istaravshan, and TadAZ usually plays well with it at home. Four out of six last meetings ended in victories of the hosts. I think that Regar will be able to succeed once again.

Istaravshan miraculously escaped relegation last season - the team finished the regular championship on the eighth line, having outranked the relegation zone by only three points. If it were not for very important two victories at the end of the season, Istaravshan would have quietly joined the duet of the worst teams of the Higher League. Regar showed a bad start, but it was just terrible for the visitors - Istaravshan lost the first two games of the season with a total score of 1-5. It will be quite difficult to gain a positive result now because away matches almost killed Istaravshan last season - the team lost seven of 10 away games during last year’s championship. I think the visitors won’t manage to earn even one point in the upcoming match.
It seems to me that it is worth betting on the home team. Regar showed a rather mediocre start, but Istaravshan’s affairs are much worse, and the statistics of head-to-head meetings show that TadAZ is more successful on its pitch. I’ll bet on the victory of Regar!
