Real Madrid have earned two latest trophies of the UEFA Champions League, being the absolute record-holder as none of the clubs has managed to win two back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles before. As “Merengues” had lost a rivalry for the LaLiga gold medals to Barcelona at the very start of the season, they might safely focus on another UEFA Champions League trophy. In the first round of the tournament Play Offs the side had easily beaten one of the most wealthy clubs of the world – Paris SG , than it hardly managed to knock out Juventus in the quarter-final and celebrated 2:1 triumph in the first-leg battle against Bayern Munich on the semi-final stage. In their turn, Bayern Munich had a weak start in this season’s Bundesliga, allowing Borussia Dortmund to move ahead of them. The Germans lost the first-leg tackle against Real Madrid with 1:2 scoreline in front of their supporters and if they keep on playing like they did against Sevilla, the reverse fixture against other Spaniards may turn into a complete disaster, especially bearing in mind that Manuel Neuer will not be able to help his teammates in the reverse fixture while Bayern Munich have not tasted a victory at “Estadio Santiago Bernabeu” since 2001.
Real Madrid are likely to oppose Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final if AS Roma do not manage to make another miracle and cover 2:5 away loss. As for Bayern Munich, the Germans shouldn’t count for a miracle as none can stop Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates on their pace to another Eurocup title.
