RB Leipzig welcome the visitors Rosenborg in the Europa League Group Stage – Round 6. The match will be held on Thursday, December 13th, at the Red Bull Arena (Leipzig).
RB Leipzig have really gotten themselves into quite a predicament, conceding in the two latest rounds to Salzburg and Celtic. The result against the Austrian team is quite clear, but the clash with the Scots… It seems that Leipzig cannot play in the last 15 minutes of the match – in all their defeats they allowed goals during this period. Theoretically, even a win will not help the hosts to progress to the next Europa League round. It is really doubtful that Celtic will surprisingly lose to Salzburg at home.

The bookies’ odds ahead of almost each Rosenborg’s fixture were amazing. The Norwegians seemed to be little underestimated, but the tournament table speaks for itself. The guests feature a negative goal difference (10 goals) and 0 points. Rosenborg proved to be totally unprepared for the European competitions, though they topped their national league once again. The coming match does not present much interest for the ‘Troll Children’, this, however, does not mean they are heading to Germany to allow another 3-4 goals. The opponent themselves will not probably need this. Rosenberg are expected to concede with pride, and, possibly, get 1 point; or, at least, they are expected to avoid a hammering on Thursday.
We are no sure if RB Leipzig were saving their energy in the clash with Freiburg, but their 0:3 defeat is alarming. Much will depend on the encounter in Scotland. We don’t expect to see over 3.5 goals tomorrow. The German team should be extremely cautious in their defense, and they will most likely concentrate on their defensive line indeed; if the hosts are ahead, they will not look to smashout the opponent.
Prediction for the match: Under 3.5 goals.
