Last season Panetolikos placed eighth in the Super League Greece as a tough middle team. They rarely had any problems playing against the outsiders winning three times and drawing once. The 2018/2019 Super League Greece season is the second straight season in the most prestigious Greek football league for Lamia. Last season they were able to save themselves in the league. It`s worth noting that the new players are not as good as those who left Lamia last summer. Furthermore, the coach of the team Babis Tennes who had saved them in the league left the club last summer. Overall, the Cyan-Whites have been looking weaker lately because of all of those factors. In their last three Super League Greece fixtures they lost all of them with an overall 1-7 score even though the schedule was not that tough. Furthermore, one of their key players Elini Dimoutsos got the red card from the referee last tour which was another hit for the team. In their last three matches overall Lamia lost to Atromitos with a 0-1 score, beat Apollon Larissa with a 3-1 score in a friendly fixture and lost to Panathinaikos with a 1-3 score.
The difference in levels of teamwork between Panetolikos and Lamia is huge at the moment. The hosting side is likely to secure their middle team spot in the table this season once again getting the needed points against the outsiders.
