According to the results of last season, Orsha became the 10th team of the standings of the First League of Belarus. Of course, the team did not fight for promotion in class, but the relegation zone was far enough, so the position of Orsha was quite stable. The start of the current championship is quite good for today's hosts - Orsha beat Lida at home (3–2) and lost to Slonim away, although the “2017s” looked much weaker than Lida last year. By some miracle, Smorgon managed to escape from relegation last season - the team finished in 14th position in the standings. And if it didn’t do this, maybe we wouldn’t see Smorgon in the second most powerful league of Belarus. However, the start of the current season was quite cool - Smorgon managed to gain an away draw in the match with Sputnik and gained a home victory over Volna. Of course, the visitors will try to develop their success in the upcoming match. Smorgon will surely score its goal - the team scored Orsha in four of the last five head-to-head meetings, but it will be difficult to keep a clean sheet since the opponent is also quite motivated. And it’s hard to call the visitors’ defense reliable.
It seems to me that it is worth betting that both teams will be able to score. The teams did not shine last season, but now they are doing much better, especially with regard to the attack. I think we will see an exchange of goals scored.
