North Macedonia hosts Kosovo in the Euro qualification promotion semifinals. The match will be played on Thursday, October 8th at National Arena Toshe Proeski (Skopje)
The North Macedonian national team has played only two matches this year. It met with Caucasian teams in the Nations League. The Red Lions beat the Armenians at home and tied with Georgia on the road. Angelovski's team cannot be called even the middle peasant of European football, but it also crossed the level of an outspoken outsider long ago. And as we see, the Macedonians beat teams like Armenia, the Baltic national teams, and even Slovenia, Israel and Norway at least on their pitch. Beyond that, the Red Lions cannot be called a spectacular team – Over 3.5 goals scored took place in only one of the last 11 matches.

Kosovo has not gained victories for the last five matches. Four of them were lost. And the only draw that the Dardanians managed to get happened in the match with mediocre Moldova. The national team of Kosovo, as well as Macedonia, is almost completely staffed by legionaries. There are a couple of them from Torino and Napoli, but most players perform in the secondary championships, such as Norwegian, Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Swedish, and so on.
I think there won't be a hail of goals. By virtue of their qualifications, each of the rivals plays defense first (and there are other options, and no one will run headlong in the head-to-head match. The cost of a mistake is too high. It will be hard to win back after conceding a goal because neither the hosts nor the visitors have such players as Ronaldo, Messi or Mbappe who can make the result on their own. Therefore, one or two goals will decide the outcome of the match, if any. Well, Macedonia is more experienced than its opponent, and it will play at home. This means a lot in the meetings of the former Yugoslav republics. Macedonia has lost only three of the last 15 home games. But the Lions played against Austria, Poland, and Spain. Therefore, the hosts are unlikely to lose to such an unstable opponent.
Prediction for the match: North Macedonia to win with +0.5 handicap and Under 3.5 goals scored
