Borussia (Dortmund) couldn't fully replace the departed stars. The Yellow-Blacks finished in second place in the previous season but were solely responsible for their failure to win on their home turf in the final match. In the summer, they lost both Jude Bellingham and Rafael Guerreiro. Although they made a good profit on the former and invested the proceeds in new signings, the level hasn't been the same. This has been evident in their domestic performances, where they have suffered several setbacks.
