Napoli take on the visitors Braga in the round 6 match of UEFA Champions League group stage. The match will be played on Tuesday, December 12th at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona (Napoli).
To qualify for the playoffs, Napoli will be satisfied with at least a draw in the final match of the group stage. It's not desirable to predict the outcome of the match, as it's uncertain whether the hosts will go all out or try to achieve the necessary result in an economical manner. However, expecting at least a goal or two from the Italians is reasonable. In previous Champions League matches, Napoli faced Real Madrid twice (2-3 and 2-4), earned four points against Union (1-0 and 1-1), and secured a victory in Portugal against Braga (2-1). As you can see, Napoli's attack is in good shape. However, their defense is far from perfect, with only one clean sheet. The recent Serie A results also indicate significant defensive problems: a win against Atalanta (2-1) and losses to Inter (0-3) and Juventus (0-1). So, while Napoli are likely to score (they have players for that), keeping their own goal intact are doubtful.

If Napoli currently has defensive problems, Braga tends to concede even in their normal state. The Arsenalists simply can't play any other way. Whether in domestic tournaments or European competitions, Artur Jorge's team plays in a similar style – boldly, openly, attacking (although, naturally, there is no domination over opponents in the Champions League compared to the domestic championship). In five group stage matches, Braga failed to score only against Real Madrid in Madrid (0-3), but they managed to score against Napoli at home (1-2). They lost to Napoli with the same score in the first meeting, and in clashes with German Union, they earned four points, playing both times away: 3-2 and 1-1. Scoring and winning in Naples is a double motivation for Braga, so to speak. On the one hand, if they win by more than one goal, the team advances to the Champions League playoffs. On the other hand, if they lose and Union miraculously beats Real Madrid, the Portuguese team could miss out on the Europa League as well.
In this match, Napoli are rightfully considered the favorite. Despite their current problems, the Italian champions are a class above their opponent. It's doubtful that anyone has doubts about Napoli scoring in the Portuguese team's goal. I don't think Napoli players will aim to keep a clean sheet
Prediction for the match: Both teams to score – yes.
