Thanks to two victories over Empoli and Sampdoria, Cremonese's footballers seem to have returned to the fight for survival in the championship. However, they then suffered an away defeat to Udinese with a crushing score of 0-3, and a home draw of 1-1 against a modest Verona, a direct competitor also in the relegation zone. Pioli's men have emerged from their crisis, started picking up points in the championship, and made it to the Champions League semifinals. In their previous home Serie A match, they beat Lecce 2-0, a team that is definitely no weaker than Cremonese.
