Of course, their primary objective remains to climb as high as possible in the Premier League table. It is unlikely that they can compete directly for the trophy given the problems faced by Arsenal and City. However, after the break and without Ronaldo, they managed to climb from fifth place to third.

West Ham bought summer recruits of the caliber of Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta for a reason. However, they are now fighting for survival.
