Lichtenstein take on the visitors Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round 7 match of group stage of UEFA Euro-2024 qualification. The match will be played on Friday, October 13th at
Liechtenstein is objectively the underdog in the group and, as they say, a point provider. While this is true, even in an away match, this team only lost to Bosnia with a score of 1-2. Therefore, it's far from guaranteed that we will witness a significant defeat for the hosts in Vaduz. It's highly unlikely that the away team will win with a margin of four or more goals. Even stronger teams have only managed to score one goal against Liechtenstein on their home turf. Plus, Liechtenstein lost to Luxembourg (0-2) and looked even more solid than Bosnia at the moment.

Many expected that Bosnia and Herzegovina would be Slovakia's main competitor for the second spot in the group. However, so far in the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle, the yellow-blues are struggling. After six rounds, Bosnia and Herzegovina has only accumulated six points with two wins and four losses. Both of their wins came in home matches. On the road, they suffered a predictable defeat to Portugal (0-3) and lost to Slovakia (0-2) and Iceland (0-1). They even managed to lose to Luxembourg at home (0-2). This team does not inspire confidence to the extent that you'd believe in their victory by a margin of three or more goals, even in a match against the modest Liechtenstein.
Naturally, in the first match against Liechtenstein, Bosnia and Herzegovina appeared to be much better than their opponent. It's quite possible that they could have secured a significant victory on their home turf. However, after scoring two quick goals, they also conceded. As a result, the score remained 2-1 until the final whistle. While the yellow-blues had a much stronger performance, the expected goals (xG) didn't indicate a dominance that would result in two goals (1.57). All of this is in the past, but it's not safe to assume that Liechtenstein won't defend their home ground effectively. My prediction is a handicap (+3) in favor of the hosts.
Prediction for the match: Lichtenstein to win with +3.0 handicap.
