Juventus F.C. welcome the visitors Udinese Calcio in the Italian Serie A – Round 27. The match will be held on Friday, March, 8th, at the Allianz Stadium (Turin).
In the last round, Juventus F.C. held a central outing against the second-placed Napoli. They featured much luck there, we have to say. First, yet on the 25th minute, Napoli’s goalkeeper Alex Meret was dismissed because of the foul against Christiano Ronaldo. David Ospina, who substituted his colleague, missed the goal before he knew it. That was the shot by Miralem Pjaniс. The second Juve’s goal followed in 11 minutes – it was registered by Emre Can after a pass by Federico Bernardeschi. In the beginning of the 2nd half-time, the ‘Old Lady’ spoiled the whole thing a bit, as they also started to play shorthanded. Pjanic was awarded the 2nd booking and turned antihero. Napoli managed to net on the 61st minute, and it seemed for a while that Juve will not to keep the score. Moreover, on the 84th minute, the hosts then were awarded a penalty, but Lorenzo Insigne missed the target. Juventus gained a hard win, and now they need to сoncentrate all their energy on the reverse Champions League leg against Atletico Madrid and play back 2 goals that they missed away.

Udinese sit 15th in the table with a tally of 25 points. In fact, they don’t compete for anything; the team are unlikely to climb the table, neither they are relegation-threatened. In the last round, they won Bologna in the tight home fixture, 2:1. The match was slow, so, the sides could convert all their opportunities. Udinese registered an opener by penalty converted by Rodrigo De Paul who scored opposite to the goalkeeper, while Bologna players quarreled much with the lead referee Davide Massa trying to prove that there was no foul in the penalty area. Yet before the break, Davide Nicola’s side allowed to Rodrigo Palacio, and 10 minutes before the whistle, Ignacio Pussetto scored a great winning header. So, Udinese are traveling to Turin in a morale boost.
If Juve’s handicap from Napoli was minor, they would probably smash Udinese; the handicap is 20 points though, and the championship is about to finish. Why would the ‘Old Lady’ sweat blood? In our view, the Turin outfit will сonsistently prepare towards the clash with Atletico in which they have to play back twice. It is possible that Massimiliano Allegri will let his key performers have rest, playing with the reserve squad tomorrow. Juventus will certainly score, but Udinese will also have opportunities and will upset the homeside at least once. We may expect an effective dead rubber. Our prediction is over 2.5 goals.
Prediction for the match: Over 2.5 goals.
