Italy faces Spain in the Euro semifinals. The match will be played on Tuesday, July 6th at Wembley Stadium (London)
The Italians have won all the matches at Euro 2020. In the quarterfinals, they knocked out the Belgians (1-2), whom many considered the favorites of the entire championship. And they did it deservedly, scoring against the Red Devils before halftime twice as much as they conceded in four previous matches. Mancini meticulously built a team that is capable of not only defending flawlessly (not a single field goal conceded in 13 matches) but also attacking sharply (at least two xG in each game in the current tournament). His system works flawlessly and is unlikely to misfire in a decisive match.

The Spaniards continue to fight for the title due to the fact that the Swiss performed poorly in the penalty shootout. Both the normal and the extra time of their match ended in a draw, although Enrique's charges spent more than 40 minutes in the numerical majority. They dominated but almost left the tournament because of the very poor conversion of their scoring chances. Morata and Moreno squander everything created by their partners, and Sarabia (the best player in the match against the Slovak national team and the author of the very important goal against the Croats) picked up a slight injury and risks not taking the field in the upcoming game.
Stylistically, these semifinalists are very similar, but the Italians use their tactical model more effectively than the Spaniards. They are much better at converting their chances into goals and are much less likely to fail in defense. Moreover, they are fresher physically, because the Spanish national team ran 120 minutes in both knockout rounds. Busquets, Alba and Azpilicueta may not be able to withstand such a high load. Such competitions are won by the defense, and the experienced defensive line of the Italians (with Donnarumma, Bonucci, and Chiellini) looks much more convincing than that of the Spanish (with Simon, Torres, and Laporte). Moreover, the Italians have not lost 32 matches in a row (with 27 wins, 85 goals scored, and 23 clean sheets) and are rightly considered the favorites of this semifinal.
Prediction for the match: Italy to win with 0.0 handicap
