Italy hosts Bosnia & Herzegovina in round 1 of the UEFA Nations League A. The match will be played on Friday, September 4th at Stadio Artemio Franchi (Florence)
In the last draw of the Nations League, the Italians took 2nd place in their group and lagged behind only the winner of the tournament, Portugal. After a failure in the last World Cup qualification, Mancini took the helm of the national team instead of Ventura. And his work bore fruit. Roberto did not repeat the mistakes of his predecessor, and his team won the qualification for the European Championship in one breath. Italy won all 10 games in the group and scored as many as 30 goals! The Italians scored at least two goals in all those matches. And they simply thrashed Armenia in the last meeting (9-1).

Bosnia and Herzegovina managed to win its group in the last Nations League campaign, having outranked the Austrians and Northern Ireland. Now the Dragons have to fight in the elite league against elite rivals. However, they failed the qualification for the postponed European Championship. Bosnia took only fourth place in the group where it was quite possible to compete for the second line, since almost all rivals were far from the strongest on the continent (Finland, Greece, Armenia, Liechtenstein, and Italy). Bosnia lost in five of its last eight matches. And the team conceded at least two goals in each of them.
I think the Dragons will concede a couple of goals in this game either. Mancini has an excellent selection of attacking players. Just look at the pair Immobile-Insigne. And don’t forget about Bellotti and Chiesa. There is also Keane, who played only three matches for the national team, but scored two goals in them. The opponents met two times, and Italy scored two goals on both matches. I think at least two balls will fly to the net of the Bosnians once again.
Prediction for the match: Italy to score over 1.5 goals
