Inter Turku take on the visitors SJK at “Veritas Stadion” in the next round of the Finnish Veikkausliiga. The game will be played in Turku on Saturday, July 14th.
At the start of the season Inter Turku showed quite decent performance, having earned 11 points in eight opening matches. However, the side has slowed down recently and deserved just one triumph together with two draws and three defeats in last six tackles. It is curious that all three failures happened at the side’s home pitch. In their turn, SJK currently sit just on the ninth position in the Veikkausliiga standings after the first lap behind. Such difficult situation was caused by the side’s poor performance at the start of the season when the forthcoming visitors collected just seven points in eight opening tackles. Thus, the club may forget about Eurocups for the next season and its main aim for the rest of the season is to save the place in the elite division. And SJK coped with that task perfectly well, having got two victories and single draw in three recent encounters. Although the side cannot boast with powerful performance on the road, still, it is tough enough to take a point in Turku.
SJK shouldn’t lose to Inter Turku as the upcoming hosts are not so strong now to prove their superiority in football class in extremely confident fashion. “Sinimustat” have already beaten the visitors in this season, but SJK significantly improved their game since then. Besides, Inter Turku have not managed to beat the club from Seinajoki across five consecutive head-to-heads conducted at their own turf. And I presume that the hosts will have to go through another disappointment on Saturday.
