Frosinone hosts Chievo in round 38 of Italian Serie A. The match will be played on Saturday, May 25th at Stadio Benito Stirpe (Frosinone)
Frosinone relegated quite predictably. Another thing is that this team was not an obvious outsider, unlike Chievo, and the lead over the Veronese in the standings is quite impressive.
In principle, this team showed something similar in the 2015-2016 season: there was also a gap from the outsider (by the way, also from the city of Verona, though it was not Chievo but Hellas Verona), but the gap from the real struggle for survival was enormous as well.

Technically, this observation suggests that small Italian teams almost do not develop (unlike the clubs of Spanish LaLiga). Alas, the Serie A brand does not have such weight as the same English Premier League or LaLiga, so this stagnation (the disappearance of many well-known clubs, old stadiums that have not been reconstructed for many years, and another bunch of problems) takes place.
The season of Chievo was rather bad from the very beginning: forfeiture of points, as a result, this team had a negative fixture of scored points; a slurred and faded game, and it became clear from the very beginning of the season that Chievo was likely to relegate.
And, frankly, the fate of the Flying Donkeys begins to scary: the examples of Livorno (fighting for survival in Serie B), Siena (playing in Serie C), Catania (playing in Serie C), Bari (playing in Serie D), Ascoli (a middle-class team of Serie B) and a number of well-known clubs, to put it mildly, do not inspire optimism.
This match does not mean anything in view of the tournament struggle since both teams have absolutely definitely left the elite. Nevertheless, this game is important for the fans, and the teams should remind about themselves before the relegation.
Prediction for the match: Both teams to score - yes
