Flora take on the visitors SJK in the first leg of round of 16 in UEFA Conference League qualification. The match will be played on Thursday, July 7th at A. Le Coq Arena (Tallinn).
Flora continue to confirm that they are one of the strongest clubs in the country. "Green-white" 13 times became the champions of their country. In 2019-2020, the next sets of "gold" medals were won. Last year, however, they managed to take only 2nd place in their native Meistrliiga. But now it is clearly setting itself up to regain its leadership, and there are good plans for success in the confrontation with virtually the only real competitor - Levadia. By the way, perhaps in 2021 success in the domestic arena was prevented by success in the international one. Flora finally played in the group stage of the European Cup. Yes, it was only the Conference League. But in it they turned out to beat Partizan and not lose to Anorthosis twice.

SJK will try to compensate for the failures in the domestic championship in the Conference League. Kerho were at their peak in the middle of the last decade. Having risen to the Veikkausliga, the team finished “on the podium” three times in a row. The season did not end without a trophy: in 2014 and 2016 they took the national cup, and, most importantly, in 2015 they even managed to get to the champion title. Then, however, there was a rollback to secondary roles, but last season caused a surge of optimism. Then SJK was able to win the "bronze". But instead of gaining a foothold among the leaders, on the contrary, risk finishing the first round of the 2022 championship at the bottom of the table. And now there will be a "second front". So far, the Finns have performed poorly in European competitions, being kicked out in 2015-2017 from the very first opponents - Hafnarfjordur, BATE and KR Reykjavik, taking a maximum draw in one of the legs. But this did not help either with the Belarusians or the Icelanders.
This is only the 4th attempt to prove themselves for the Finnish club. Not surprisingly, they will play against Flora for the first time. Flora looks much more solid this calendar year; besides they play at home. We recommend betting that the Estonians will be able to beat the Finns in their own arena on Thursday evening.
Prediction for the match: Flora to win.
