Flora hosts Legia in the second leg of the Champions League qualification quarterfinals. The match will be played on Tuesday, July 27th at A. Le Coq Arena (Tallinn)
Flora is one of the strongest clubs in Estonia. In 2020, the champion’s title went to Tallinn for the 13th time, and it was the second title in a row. Now the team is among the leaders, outranking Levadia in terms of lost points. But now the priority for Jurgen Henn and his charges is the Champions League, where they managed to successfully cope with a certain “minimum task”. In the first half of July, Maltese Hibernians was defeated twice (2-0 at home and 3-0 away). Last week the Cacti had a much more difficult trip to Warsaw, and it expectedly ended in defeat, but the score leaves hope for overall success.

Legia is at the peak of Polish club football. Since 2013, the Warsaw club has allowed their opponents to gain gold medals only twice. And it regularly started in European cups, but not necessarily successfully. In 2016, they managed to make it to the Champions League group stage, but it was their only achievement. But so far Czeslaw Michniewicz’s charges look quite confident. In the previous round, the Poles were able to beat Bodo/Glimt twice. First, there was a spectacular shootout in Norway, and Legia managed to win thanks to Emreli's double with a score of 3-2. Then the Legionaries scored a goal at home at the end of each half. But the first match against Flora turned out to be harder despite the early goal (Kapustka opened the scoring in the 3rd minute). The Balts even answered with Sappinen’s goal right after the break. And Legia pulled out the victory only in the added time thanks to the efforts of the seasoned Portuguese, Rafael Lopes.
Flora needs to take risks, as it will not be satisfied with even a home draw. It will be easier for the Poles to play against such an opponent, and they should take the opponent more seriously. We bet on the victory of Legia.
