At the same time, Bayer won three of those matches, including a solid 2-1 victory over Schalke 04. What is impressive about Bayer this season is its outstanding away appearances. The Red-Blacks were simply dominant in their last away matches. It is amusing that Bayer not only won five of seven matches on the road but also won the first halves in those games. In my opinion, even a 0-2 defeat to Juventus looked very significant from the Germans. Bayer did not give up playing and fought to the last, but Juve is much stronger now. This year, Bayer looks very convincing and shows a decent game.
Cologne is not ready to fight in this season, and I think it is the main contender for direct relegation. Most of the Goats’ matches were bleak and faded, and it’s hard for me to imagine that they will be able to oppose something to Bayer that gained momentum.
