Everton F.C. takes on the visitors Cardiff City F.C. in the English Premiere League – Round 13. The game will be held on Saturday, November 24th at Goodison Park (Liverpool).
Marco Silva’s team have had quite a good start this season with a no-defeat series of 4 matches, but they had a great number of draws (1 win, 3 draws). In 12 rounds, Everton got 18 points, and currently they find themselves in the 9th line, the mid of the table. They miss only 5 points to pass to the European Cups, which is rather doable. Still, they need to stop dropping points in matches like the one against Huddersfield Town A.F.C. (they were supposed to win home but came up with a draw). In the latest 5 PL matches Everton was quite successful and got 10 points of 3 wins and 1 draw, scoring 8 goals and missing only 4. Richarlison, who made 6 goals, and Sigurdsson, who scored 5, were very efficient. Everton have played 6 matches at their stadium yet wherein they have 4 wins, 1 defeat, and 1 draw. In 3 home games in a row, however, the team win, scoring not less than 2 goals. Not only attacking players should be watched (they know how to score!) but strong defense as well. The latter is secure indeed, the backup is in place, and they don’t leave much space between the lines. The last round outing against the league leading Chelsea demonstrates that, Silva’s team managed to take 1 point keeping their goal locked. The hosts dominated throughout the match indeed, but the visitors played very well in defense. So, Everton is rightly considered favorite of the coming clash.

Cardiff’s stats speaks for itself: in 12 rounds of the current campaign, the team won only twice (both wins being at home against not the leading opponents); they had 5 away matches wherein they got only 1 point, having 1 draw and losing 4 times. Warnock’s team currently have 8 points and occupy the 18th place, which is the relegation zone. The Southampton F.C., however, that are ahead of them, also have 8 points and succeed only in the goals scored minus goals conceded. So there are still chances. The Scottish Paterson with 3 goals scored is most effective in the team. Once again, we should note that Cardiff City are very weak in outings. In the 12th round, Cardiff took on Brighton, and they managed to get the second win in the season. This time the scoring line was 2:1. The hosts had a bad start, as they lost yet during the 6th minute, then they could restore the balance (22). Callum Paterson had a rebound in the box and headed; as of 34th minute the team even had a power play, though they could benefit of this only during the last minute of the regular time. Paterson attempted on goal but hit the crossbar, Sol Bamba reached the ball in the penalty area and scored. So, in fact, Cardiff had a good luck in that match, to be frank.
Considering the strengths of the teams, we are sure of Everton’s win. By no means the hosts will lose at home, especially to one of last-chance performers like Cardiff. No need to worry much, the thriving Toffees are predicted to win.
Prediction for the match: Everton to win home.
