At one time Darmstadt managed to break into the Bundesliga. In 2014 and 2015 they were able to gain two promotions in a row. Regensburg has been playing in the 2nd division of Germany for four years and is preparing for the 5th. The Red Shorts showed a great result in their first season and almost climbed into the elite division. In 2018 they managed to take 5th place.
