The current vice-champion of the world, the Croatian national team, is currently the leader of its Group E. However, the Checkered Ones still did not guarantee their place in the final part of EURO 2020 since only they managed to lose points in the matches with the main outsider Azerbaijan, having played 1-1 with it in the last round. The Slovaks, Hungarians, and Welsh have not yet experienced any problems in matches with the Azerbaijanis. I would like to note that the defensive line of the Croats is experiencing considerable difficulties, and they had previously conceded goals from Wales, the same Azerbaijan (also at home) and their rival in the upcoming game (as many as twice – a 1:2 defeat in Budapest).

As for Hungary, it surely set itself up for getting into the decisive stage of the European Football Championship, having all the chances for such a good achievement now (3rd place in the group, and one point behind the 1st one). It became quite real precisely thanks to the persistent and productive performance of the attacking unit of the Magyar team, which scored goals, besides the aforementioned match with Croatia, in confrontations with Slovakia, Wales and Azerbaijan (three times in Baku).
By the way, according to my personal observation, the already aged (by football standards) squad of the Croats simply lacks physics closer to the second half of the game. As a result, the defense of the Blazers starts to sag, and they conceded almost all of their goals in the current qualification for the European Championship in the second half... I think that the rear of Zlatko Dalic’s men will not manage to keep a clean sheet in the game with ambitious Hungarians!
